Black Trustee Alliance for Art Museums (BTA) seeks a part-time Coordinator to join our growing organization. The Coordinator is an integral member of BTA, assisting the Executive Director and providing administrative support for the organization’s operations. The Coordinator will report to the Executive Director and work in close partnership with the BTA team. We are a membership organization with over 250 Black trustees serving on the boards of art museums across North America. Role Responsibilities:Provide administrative support for the Executive Director, including scheduling, booking travel, travel itinerary support, expense reports, etc. Perform research in support of strategic priorities and initiatives led by the Executive Director. Provide email support, monitoring and triaging the administrative information inbox, routing to the appropriate team members as necessary. Liaise with trustees, field leaders, funders, trustees, partners, and vendors via email with the highest level of professionalism. Manage and assist with the Executive Director’s projects, follow-ups, and action items.Participate in weekly team meetings, contributing to BTA-wide brainstorms about the future of our organization, applying your problem-solving skills beyond day-to-day administrative duties. Contribute to and/or copyedit BTA communications. Provide ad-hoc in-person support, such as postage/mailing. A Typical Week in this Role Looks Like:Scheduling meetings with funders and partners. Sourcing and reading articles for a BTA newsletter. Coordinating a fundraising trip for the Executive Director in one of BTA’s hub cities (i.e., New York, Atlanta, Washington D.C., Chicago, Detroit, Miami, Los Angeles), booking travel and drafting the itinerary. Discussing the state of Black culture and the arts during a team meeting with BTA’s ED, Program Manager, and Special Projects Manager.Role RequirementsExceptional written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills.5+ years of professional experience, with prior experience in an administrative capacity.Ability to perform duties within stated timelines, and to work a consistent weekly schedule. Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.Savviness with remote workforce technology, particularly knowledge of Zoom, Google Calendar, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Drive is a must.Knowledge of Airtable, Monday.com, and project management tools is a plus.
