Sean Kelly seeks a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as the Front Desk Gallery Assistant. Poised and professional, highly organized and detail-oriented, energetic and well mannered, this position is the primary point of contact for visitors to the gallery; excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in an extremely fast-paced environment are critical. Proficiency with Photoshop and website management platforms is essential. Experience with Artlogic is preferred. Business hours are Tuesday – Saturday, 9:30am – 6:00pm. Day to day duties include but are not limited to the following:- Greet and direct gallery visitors at the front desk- Answer telephones quickly, efficiently, and confidently; maintain and manage voicemail and messages- Oversee incoming and outgoing mail; organize mailings and materials for collectors and curators- Maintain and update gallery contact database and internal calendars- Manage general gallery inquiries and correspondence- Oversee catalogue sales and inventories- Assist Director, Media and Communications with updating and keeping track of artist exhibition calendar to compile monthly newsletters- Support Directors with assigned projects, including renderings and mock-ups, and general office tasks- Order and coordinate office, kitchen, and housekeeping supplies and mailing materials and equipment; maintain receipts and petty cash- Hire, train, and supervise seasonal interns- Maintain archive, press and biographical information on the website- Assist with planning and management of openings and special events- Responsible turning on and powering off all exhibitions daily- Run errands as directedRequired qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in art history or related field- Prior gallery or administrative experience- Experience with Artlogic, Artbase or similar database- Fluency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Photoshop, InDesign, Adobe Acrobat, and website management platforms such as Exhibit-E
