Yossi Milo Gallery, a leading contemporary art gallery in Chelsea representing emerging and established artists, seeks an experienced Sales Assistant to join the team. Working closely with the Principal, the role will support the gallery’s strategic direction, cultivate artist relationships, expand collector networks, and drive sales within the international art market. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Sales· Oversee fulfillment of private sales and museum acquisitions in a fast-paced, high-volume environment· Work with the Principal to develop sales strategies and execute related initiatives, preparing materials and associated marketing with the gallery staff· Assist in the creation of sales materials, including PDFs, fact sheets, and offers for the Sales team· Maintain Artsy and other online sales platforms· Assist with insurance evaluations and track relevant auctions· Work closely with the Sales team on post-sales follow-upArt Fairs & Exhibitions· Represent the gallery at openings, industry events, and art fairs with periodic travel requiredArtist Liaison· Maintain thorough knowledge of gallery artists\' work, processes, and backgrounds· Write correspondence and arrange calls, Zoom meetings, studio visits with artists, institutions, collectors, and press under the direction of the Director and Principal General Operations· Represent the gallery at the reception desk, welcoming and engaging all visitors· Work with the Gallery Assistant to oversee daily operations and public engagement, including social media· Coordinate across departments to execute gallery initiatives, including exhibitions, art fairs, events, and consignmentsPosition Requirements:· At least 2 years of experience in an art gallery, with sales assistance strongly preferred· Expert written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills are essential· Experience with art database programs, such as ArtLogic or FileMaker – ArtLogic Preferred· Must work productively in a fast-paced environment and multitask with ease· High-level proficiency with Photoshop, InDesign, and SketchUp preferred· Professional appearance and demeanor, punctuality, a proactive and positive attitudeSuccessful candidates must be detail-oriented, hard-working, and reliable.
