Artist Representative & Curatorial LiaisonRemote / International — Tamarindo, Costa Rica projectA contemporary painter with a substantial body of work consisting of 160+ paintings across multiple conceptual series is seeking an experienced art-world professional to assist with portfolio refinement, catalogue completion, and introductions to curators, galleries, and institutions.The work operates in the territory of symbolic and psychological figuration with ritual and cosmological themes.The studio is currently completing a professional catalogue and institutional portfolio documenting the body of work.In parallel, a purpose-built contemporary gallery space is being developed in Tamarindo, Costa Rica, intended to host curated exhibitions, visiting curators, and international programming.The identity of the artist and full catalogue will be shared with shortlisted candidates during the interview process.Core ResponsibilitiesInstitutional Introductions (Primary Responsibility)• Introduce the artist’s work to established contemporary curators, galleries, and institutional programs• Facilitate studio visits, curatorial meetings, and professional introductions• Identify exhibition opportunities with reputable galleries, museums, and independent curators• Maintain outreach records and communication logsCatalogue Completion & Portfolio Development• Assist in refining and completing a professional catalogue of the artist’s work• Edit and structure the body of work into a focused institutional portfolio• Coordinate curatorial essays and professional presentation materials• Prepare documentation suitable for curators, galleries, and collectorsStrategic Positioning• Provide guidance on positioning the work within the contemporary art ecosystem• Identify relevant exhibitions, curatorial programs, and art fairs• Assist with exhibition proposals and institutional outreachTamarindo, Costa Rica Gallery Project• Provide strategic input on curatorial programming for the Tamarindo gallery project• Assist in identifying visiting curators, artists, and collaborators• Help position the space as a credible contemporary art destinationPreferred BackgroundCandidates may come from backgrounds such as:• Contemporary gallery director or senior gallery staff• Museum curatorial assistant or researcher• Independent curator with exhibition experience• Art advisor working with established collectors• Art fair or exhibition programmingFamiliarity with artists working in symbolic, narrative, or psychologically oriented contemporary painting is preferred.Candidates should demonstrate existing relationships with curators, galleries, or institutional programs within the contemporary art ecosystem.CompensationFlexible depending on experience and scope.Compensation may be structured as:• Consulting retainer• Part-time position• Performance-based incentives tied to placements or exhibitionsRegular activity reporting and outreach documentation will be expected.———Bi-Lingual in Spanish and English is a plus, but not a requirement.
