Media Art Xploration (MAX) is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced individual familiar with the art ecosystem of NY and excellent communication and strong organizational skills to join its growing team. At MAX storytellers, performers, scientists and creative technologists come together to create live experiences that break boundaries in music, dance, theater and sound. The ideal candidate is an agile thinker with experience in both high-level strategy and day-to-day operations in outreach for nonprofits, and ideally in organizations that focus on live arts, science, or creative technology. Our goal is to adjust the model of non-profit sustainability with a combination of community development and strong partner relations advancing both the reach of our programming and the life-span of the work. This individual will be a creative thinker who connects the dots between building the community and the programmatic development of MAX. We have a great team now and we look forward to adding another positive member to our crew!Deliverables:Artistic Coordination: Liaising between lead artists, directors, designers, actors, and staff, during development, pre-production and post-production.Strategic Input: Assisting the Artistic Director with season planning, vetting projects, and artistic programming decisions.Media Management: Systematically manage and archive all project media, including images, sound files, clips, scripts, and videos.Synthetic Thinking: Every staff member plays a role in the larger ecosystem of the organization so organic thinking and team playing are vital to realizing the potential of this role. The work includes staff responsibilities including weekly scrum calls, attendance at MAX meetings when conducted, occasional attendance at shows and exhibitions, and other community development opportunities.Salary commensurate with experience with a baseline of $30-hr. Hours and span of contract to be negotiated.
