Overall Description:Oversee studio business operations, staff management, finances, exhibitions, and strategic planning to improve efficiency, reduce costs, strengthen company culture, and support creative and commercial projects. Responsibilities: 1) Strategic Leadership & Long-Term PlanningEvaluate and create new business opportunities and museum exhibitionsManage exhibition planningBuild and manage relationships with global galleries, collectors and institutionsCreate VIP events to drive exhibition attendance and salesProvide operational support across all departmentsBalance creative goals with financial sustainabilityMaintain long-term studio planning calendar2) Exhibitions, Art Projects & ProgrammingManage shipping and registration staffOrganize staffing and logistics for exhibitionsLead marketing and outreach efforts to increase attendance and salesWork on long-term planning for future exhibitionsCoordinate artwork strategy and logistics for major art fairsLiaise with galleries on exhibition planning, pricing, and inventory managementManage institutional collaborations with museums and cultural organizations 3) Finance & Business OperationsReview cash flow daily and hold weekly financial review meetings with controllerOversee project budgetsEnsure contracts are followed and payments are collectedOversee sales tax 4) Staffing & Human ResourcesEvaluate studio structure and redefine roles to improve efficiencyHire staff across departmentsManage onboarding, training, performance reviews, raises, and bonusesCoordinate weekly staff meetings to foster transparency, communication and collaborationBuild and maintain a safe and supportive work environmentAdminister required legal workplace trainingUpdate and maintain employee handbook, and contractor agreements5) Brand Management and Partnerships.Lead and drive long term planning with pr agency or partners to drive ongoing commsManage quarterly newsletter and contentPartner with Head of Collaborations on shared staff and operationsPlan and organize preview events, tours, speaking engagements and public comms/interviews. Qualifications:Minimum 10 years’ experience at an artist studio, gallery, museum or cultural institutionStrong leadership presence with excellent networking and relationship management skillsExperience managing high profile individualsHigh level of confidentialityMust be self-motivated, energetic, and highly organized team playerDemonstrated ability to pay absolute attention to detail and to manage staff across departmentsOutstanding writing and interpersonal communication skillsProficiency in Google SuiteDemonstrated ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders and competing deadlines
