Client Success Manager – Client Relationships

POSITION SUMMARY
This role is designed for someone who’s ready to grow into senior leadership, potentially leading a Client Success team or managing enterprise level partnerships within 12-24 months. As a Client Success Manager focusing on Client Relationships in higher education, you'll be on the front lines, building strong partnerships with schools. Your mission is to help our education partners win through driving enrollment growth, improving campaign performance, and becoming the kind of trusted advisor they’ll call before anyone else. You’re not just managing clients, you’re building long term partnerships rooted in results and genuine connection. You'll also be looking for new growth opportunities, bringing in new clients, and even helping to brainstorm new services for the education market. Basically, you'll be a trusted advisor, business consultant, and performance partner for your assigned institutions. TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
This role requires occasional travel for client meetings and industry events. Typically there are two on-site client visits per client for the top clients and two national conferences per year (approximately 10-15% travel)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Client Onboarding & Ramp-Up
- Lead onboarding for new EDU clients or programs, ensuring a seamless transition from Sales.
- Establish clear goals, timelines, and success metrics with all stakeholders.
Strategic Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned EDU clients, building trust and delivering performance-focused strategic guidance.
- Build relationships so strong that clients see you as a friend who’s as invested in their success as they are. Be professional, but human as the person they trust when things go right and when they don’t.
- Conduct regular check-ins, performance reviews, and quarterly business reviews (QBRs) aligned to client objectives.
- Maintain deep knowledge of client programs, market position, and enrollment goals.
- Documentation of all activities in the Hubspot CRM
Growth & Portfolio Diversification
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities across new programs, modalities, geographies, and traffic types.
- Partner with Sales to expand campaigns and drive additional revenue through tailored recommendations.
- Guide clients in launching new programs or optimizing underperforming ones.
Client Advocacy & Problem Solving
- Manage escalations and issue resolution with urgency, transparency, and follow-through.
- Proactively surface risks to client satisfaction and retention; collaborate cross-functionally to resolve.
Product Development Support
- Capture client feedback and unmet needs to inform product innovation.
- Participate in testing new EDU offerings, features, or lead types in partnership with product and tech teams.
Forecasting, Planning & Renewal Support
- Contribute to revenue forecasting and account planning efforts.
- Lead renewal strategy discussions and collaborate on pricing or scope changes as needed.
Market & Competitive Intelligence
- Monitor higher ed industry trends and peer activity to help clients stay competitive.
- Share market insights internally to influence roadmap and media strategy.
Internal Collaboration & OKR Alignment
- Work closely with Media, Compliance, Creative, Product, and Analytics teams to ensure alignment.
- Contribute to department-level OKRs and company growth initiatives.
KEY METRICS OF SUCCESS
- Client retention rate and contract renewal percentage
- Revenue growth within existing EDU accounts (upsells, expansions)
- Portfolio diversification across program types, modalities, or audiences
- Client satisfaction (measured via surveys or NPS)
- Campaign performance improvements (e.g., acceptance rates, CPL efficiency)
- Contribution to product feedback and successful rollout of new EDU features

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience in client success, account management, or related roles, with a track record of exceeding targets and driving client satisfaction.
- Experience working in a SaaS or technology-driven environment is a plus.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
