Riverside Symphony, a Grammy-nominated and Manhattan-based professional orchestra, is seeking a part-time Operations Coordinator to manage rehearsals, performances, and related logistics. The position is estimated to average two days per week over the course of the year, with up to four days required per week for the weeks leading up to the concerts (November 22nd, February 7th, and May 4th). Responsibilities include:Managing music and instrument rentalsManaging rehearsals and performancesOrchestra hiring and payrollEnsuring compliance with orchestra\'s contract with AFM Local 802Assist Operations Director with tasks as needed, including creation of concert programs in CanvaTrouble shooting software and technical issues Essential Qualifications:Articulate, personable, detail-oriented, well-organizedExcellent public interface skillsGood writing and editing skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office SuiteEase in acquiring new computer skills Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in music business or a related fieldA background in classical musicPrior experience in non-profit music administration strongly encouraged
