About Us Established in 1857, AIA New York is the oldest and largest chapter of the American Institute of Architects, boasting over 5,500 members including architects, allied professionals, students, and design enthusiasts. Role Overview:The Center for Architecture is seeking a part-time Archtober Coordinator beginning Sept 2, 2025. This position is seasonal – through October 31, 2025 and based in Greenwich Village, New York City. The Archtober Coordinator, working with Senior Staff of the AIA New York Chapter and Center for Architecture manages and coordinates quality content and programming for the Center for Architecture; related to the built environment communities’ interests, in coordination with the Archtober team and partners. Job Duties/Responsibilities:Website (Partner Events), Blog, Archtober E-mail· Upload event information onto Archtober website · Updating website events based on edits submitted by partners · Create Archtober branded content within existing content framework · Collect images and text related to content · Upload content to website · Monitoring Archtober email inbox, and forwarding emails when appropriate Social Media (Partner Events and Materials) · Identify events and materials that CFA wants to promote via Archtober social · Contact and retrieve appropriate materials from each partner with appropriate credits · Write posts, edits photography/assets from partner · Use Sprout Social to upload all content · Instagram Takeoverso Organize day-long Instagram takeovers with partner organizations in September o Collect all content (images and text) from each partner o Use Sprout Social to upload all content Program Administration · Provide administrative support for daytime programs Education and Experience:Associate’s degree or higher, current student, or equivalent experience1-2 years of relevant work experience Demonstrated interest in architecture and design Strong writing background Detail-oriented Enjoys collaborating with a small team Experience with MS products, including Outlook Experience with backend CMS (Wordpress, Webflow, etc.) Experience with Adobe products preferred but not required Knowledge of fundraising software (Salesforce) preferred but not required Strong organizational skills Strong written and presentation skills Upbeat, outgoing, motivated self-starter Based in NYC Additional Information Location: This is a hybrid, part-time role (up to 25 hours per week). An expectation of 1-2 days onsite – our center is located at 536 LaGuardia Place, NY, NY. This seasonal role is expected to end October 31, 2025.
