We are seeking a skilled office and operations manager, with an additional interest or background in interior design, architecture, and art. A bachelor’s degree is required, and further education in design, architecture, or art history would prove helpful and is preferred. Core responsibilities,Enact and maintain a precise operational workflow to ensure efficiency and consistency across all projects, in open written & verbal communication with clients, vendors, craftsmen and design staff,Oversee scheduling and logistics for all design projects, including but not limited to shipping, installations, and project management,Assume responsibility for invoicing purchases, billing commissions, and maintaining all office financial and tax records,Work in conjunction with designers, vendors, and clients to ensure the logistical success of projects, including custom commissions, generating and placing purchase orders, auction research, bid tracking, transport and delivery of purchases, and contract preparation and execution,Provide administrative support to the design staff, when appropriate, and provide personal and administrative support to the principalMarket research,Occasional site supervision,Maintain consistent presence in the office, Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM We hope you are attracted by both the responsibility and the privilege of this position, and the opportunity it presents to play an integral role in a sophisticated design practice.Position available for immediate hire. Current projects involve new construction, major renovation, and interior design. Additionally, we offer curatorial services and connoisseurship in fine and decorative arts. This position requires composure, complete discretion, enthusiasm, and keen attention to detail. Familiarity with standard bookkeeping practices, including the use of QuickBooks, is also required, as is proficiency in the Microsoft suite. Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, Rino, or Photoshop is preferred but not required. Candidates for this position must also demonstrate a high level of interpersonal aptitude, and a strong sensitivity to professional decorum. Exceptional communication skills and good humor are critical qualifications.
