Introduction:Happy Medium exists to create and curate the best supplies, content, and events for casual artists. There’s a lot of stuff out there for kids and capital “A” Artists, but there isn’t much for those that fall somewhere in between. We are on a mission to fill that gap. We aim to be part of a world where more people feel emboldened to create things with their hands, just for the hell of it– because the real thrill simply lies in the making. We are in search of an enthusiastic and talented maker to lead our Build-a-Chair, Build-a-Lamp and Large Canvas Painting workshops. Customers visit us to construct and finish their very own piece of furniture, lamp, or painting for their home. Our aim is for them to leave delighted with a piece they loved making and a newfound confidence in their skills. The right person for this position will be a persistent worker, engaging teacher, and great teammate. They will have a competency with woodworking tools, basic electrical tools, and are familiar with the fundamentals of painting. Furthermore, have the ability to figure things out and be an encouraging force to get hesitant customers out of their shell and making with their hands, are key factor to success in this role. Changes will be communicated as soon as possible, but a typical month\'s schedule would consist of3-6 hours of in-shop time, to prep materials and inventory supplies16-32 hours of event time, working with customers and primarily on weekends
