It is a comprehensive hybrid role for an Artist Assistant and Studio Manager that combines high-level administration, digital imaging, analogue darkroom management, and physical studio maintenance.Focus: Blend of analogue and digital photography, requiring deep familiarity with both traditional darkroom processes and modern digital workflows.Responsibilities: Cross-functional support including artistic production, hands-on research, and administrative tasks.Requirements: Minimum 3 years of continuous, relevant experience in an artist\'s studio or a professional photography setting, with a preference for a long-term commitment. Key QualificationsSoftware/OS: Advanced macOS proficiency, Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, Capture One, and FileMakerPro.Photography: Proficient knowledge of analogue processes, darkroom chemistry, lab maintenance, and black-and-white (b/w) processing.Soft Skills: Highly organized, proactive, excellent communicator, and able to balance long-term project planning with immediate studio demands. Artwork Management: Handling large prints, preparing artwork for shipment, and documenting/archiving artwork using Capture One and Photoshop.Studio & Admin Support: Managing FileMakerPro archives, maintaining CVs/bibliographies, organizing invoices, booking travel, and handling professional correspondence.Physical Tasks: Performing domestic-scale carpentry and construction, along with assisting the artist with personal needs and studio deadlines.
