Reporting to the Major Gifts Officer & Board Liaison, the Development Assistant plays a key role in supporting the Museum’s fundraising activities through the management and analysis of donor and fundraising data. The position is responsible for maintaining accurate records within Raiser’s Edge, preparing analytical reports to inform strategic decision-making, and assisting with prospect research and campaign tracking. The position is temporary for one year.Create and maintain regular reports on fundraising performance, donor trends and prospect pipeline. Analyze donor behavior and giving patterns to inform strategic decision-making.Assist in setting target audiences for direct mail, email campaigns, and fundraising outreach.Create reports for Museum leadership, development staff, and board presentations. Record consistently and accurately all donor data on Raiser’s Edge, ensuring accuracy and integrity.Track and organize all Development activity.Liaise with Finance Department to oversee gift processing and ensure all donation record accuracy. Draft and send tax acknowledgement letters on a timely basis. Provide social media engagement support, including preparing images and captions for Instagram and suggesting content to feature.Qualifications: · Bachelor’s Degree. · 1-2 years’ experience in development in a nonprofit institution, within a museum or cultural institution preferred.
