A prominent mid-sized contemporary art gallery with multiple Chelsea, NY locations, is seeking full-time Gallery and Sales Assistants to work closely with Senior Directors/Gallery Principal. The gallery is a fast-paced environment requiring someone with a proactive and assertive demeanor and experience in managing, delegating, and collaborating. Description:Manage all correspondence, both phone calls and email. This includes sales outreach, liaising with artists, art fair management and more.Managing and building the client database, preparing materials for meetings and view, maintaining information about artists and estates.Maintain calendars, including planning and scheduling meetings, travel, and eventsAbility to prioritize, trouble shoot, and forecastBe a contributing member of the gallery associates team, working across all areas of the gallery including logistics, digital assets, and the front deskExecute a high level of detail, including proof-readingDiscreetly manage confidential information Schedule:The gallery is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.Additional hours expected for opening receptions, events, any related travel and as warranted by work flow Requirements:Bachelor’s degree requiredAt least two years experience as an Assistant or in an administrative role in an art gallery, museum, auction house, or other arts related organization is preferredApplicants must be proficient in Adobe Suites and social media channels, with ArtLogic experience preferredExcellent writing and verbal communicationCapacity to think critically and creativelyImpeccable memory and attention to the minutiaeAbility to multi-task and exhibit outstanding time managementProfessional, energetic, outgoing, personable
