About the Position
Your primary focus is planning, optimizing, and growing digital revenue and website traffic, overseeing branding and community, and leading the Marketing Team of 3 full-time, remote employees.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Campaign planning & management:
- Ownership of digital marketing revenue, and website traffic from email and social media.
- Quarterly (or monthly) planning of marketing campaigns across channels (email, social, etc) and integrated calendars.
- Coordinate relevant, personal sharing of recipe content, food products, digital products, cookbooks, affiliate products, seasonal themes, and product launches across channels.
- Plan A/B tests and reader polls, report on them, and adjust strategy.
- Create and manage campaign projects in project management system, including planning team tasks and ensuring on-time delivery.
Team leadership:
- Manage the marketing team, including writer, social media manager, and marketing specialist.
- Regular briefs, 1:1s, meetings, feedback, and priorities for the team.
Email, content, & social media strategy:
- Identify and plan strategies to grow our email list (email opt ins, lead magnets, placements, tripwires, ads).
- Oversee email automation, segmentation, and sequences.
- Oversee social media performance including engagement, clicks to our website, product sales, and follower growth.
- Work with the Founder on recipe content strategy, including planning content updates and promotions across channels.
Digital products & app:
- Oversee creation, updates, and strategy for landing pages, digital carts, bump offers, and upsells.
- Oversee digital product creation and strategy.
- Growth strategy for digital products and app.
Branding & consistency:
- Ensure on-brand voice, messaging, and visual style across products and platforms.
- Create and maintain marketing SOPs.
Campaign monitoring, reporting, and growth:
- Ensure that campaigns run smoothly, pivot based on live performance, and solve problems that arise.
- Create reports on multi-faceted campaign results and work with the founder to update strategy.
Cross-team alignment:
- Coordinate with the Wholesome Yum Foods marketing manager to integrate promoting our food products into email and social strategy.
- Feed insights from customer service, reviews, and social into content, product, and marketing strategy.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Experience:
- 10+ years of marketing experience, preferably B2C
- 2+ years of managing digital content teams
- Mindset & communication: Independent, data-driven, detail‑oriented, and proactive. Comfortable with constructive feedback, fast pivots, and asynchronous remote collaboration via Microsoft Teams/email. Strong conversational writing with impeccable grammar that captures the Wholesome Yum voice.
- Cross-channel planning: Alignment of content, email, and social media to promote seasonal themes or launches, including project management, A/B testing, and messaging.
- Analytics & data: Confident using analytics dashboards (email, web, social, spreadsheets), UTMs, spotting data patterns, creating reports, identifying key things to test, and making data-driven decisions.
- Brand voice stewardship: Ability to edit and guide a team for a conversational, on-brand tone across channels.
- Email & lifecycle ownership: Experience building and improving automations and campaigns using an advanced ESP (Kit, Klaviyo, or similar), including segmentation, tagging, A/B testing, and lead magnets (ConvertPro, OptIn Monster, or similar).
- Funnels & conversion: Hands-on experience with landing pages (LeadPages, Elementor, or similar) and checkout systems (ThriveCart or similar), including tripwires, bumps, upsells and improving conversion rate, AOV, etc.
- Social media: High level of understanding how social algorithms work, allowing for effective strategy oversight.
- Design: Eye for design to oversee asset branding and familiar with Canva.
- Home cooking: Preferably healthy recipes and clean ingredients.
- Remote readiness: Able to self‑manage workload, use and delegate in task management system (ClickUp, Asana, Trello, or similar), and consistently meet Monday–Friday 10 AM–3 PM CT core hours with reliable hardware & high‑speed internet.
Nice to Have Experience:
- Editorial experience: Copy editing, basic SEO, content planning, internal linking, decay analysis
- WordPress experience, specifically Gutenberg and/or Elementor
- Affiliate marketing
- AirTable
- Looker Studio dashboards
- Microsoft Clarity or Hotjar
- Pinterest
- Creation of ebooks, printables, and other marketing materials
- Familiar with Maya’s recipes on WholesomeYum.com and Wholesome Yum Foods products

HOURS
- Full‑time: 40 hrs/week
- Core hours: Monday–Friday, 10 AM–3 PM Central Time; remaining hours are flexible.
