Join us as we grow.Cause Lab is seeking a highly organized Account Manager who thrives in fast-paced creative environments and enjoys building clarity, structure and momentum across complex projects. This role sits at the center of agency operations and is responsible for helping projects move smoothly from kickoff through delivery.This person will work closely with the Founder, Managing Director and Creative Director to support workflow, timelines, project management, client communication and internal coordination across multiple accounts. The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, proactive, detail-oriented and able to balance operational rigor with flexibility and strong interpersonal instincts.This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys client services, problem solving, creating systems, managing moving pieces and helping creative teams do their best work. The position is for a full time independent contractor and operates on a hybrid schedule, based in New York City.A successful applicant has:3 years minimum experience working in account management, project management, operations or production at a creative, marketing, advertising or media agency.Experience managing multiple projects, stakeholders and deadlines simultaneously in a client-facing environment.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong organizational instincts and ability to create structure in fast-moving environments.Experience building timelines, managing scopes and tracking deliverables across creative teams.Ability to identify risks, bottlenecks and operational gaps before they become problems.Comfort working collaboratively with creatives, strategists, clients and leadership teams.A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and ability to work independently.Experience with project management platforms such as Basecamp, Asana, Monday or similarPermanent work authorization in the U.S.; we are unable to sponsor visas.Everyday tasks include:Client operations:Serve as a primary day-to-day contact for clients across ongoing projectsCoordinate meetings, approvals, deliverables and follow-upsPrepare and send project status updates and recapsHelp manage project scopes, timelines and expectationsEnsure projects stay organized, on track and moving toward deliveryProject and workflow management:Own project timelines, workflows and internal coordination across multiple accountsMaintain Basecamp across projects, ensuring every deliverable has an owner, due date and clear next stepManage resourcing and workload visibility across the creative teamTrack project progress, flag blockers and help teams problem-solve quicklyLead weekly internal status meetings and maintain clear project documentationOperations and process:Help build and refine agency systems, workflows and operational processesSupport prioritization across competing internal and client needsPartner with leadership to improve communication, accountability and visibility across projectsAssist with vendor coordination, production logistics and operational planning as neededAdditional:Support proposal development, estimates and project scopingAssist with deck organization and presentation preparationCoordinate with freelancers, production partners and external collaboratorsAdditional duties as neededFreelance Independent Contractor, August 1, 2026 – January 31, 2027, with the option to transition to full-time employment after six months. During the initial six-month period at Cause Lab, this role will be structured as a freelance independent contractor position under the terms outlined below. Following the completion of this period, there will be an option to move into a full-time employee role.The working schedule for this position is 40 hours per week. Cause Lab operates on a hybrid schedule, with in-person work at our New York City office on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, and remote work on Thursdays and Fridays. Working hours are 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. each working day. This position is based in New York City and may require some travel. Candidates must be based in the United States.
