This role is ideal for a senior-level creative who can develop strong visual concepts, execute polished design and motion work, and help guide a growing creative team in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.Working directly with the Creative Director, this person will play a key role in shaping design, motion, video, and marketing work across digital, social, print, out-of-home, and campaign environments. They will also help manage design and marketing associates, ensuring that creative work is thoughtful, on-brand, on-time, and aligned with client and organizational goals.This position requires excellent attention to detail, strong creative judgment, comfort with ambiguity, and a genuine desire to make impactful, robust work. The ideal candidate is an outgoing collaborator and “people person” who enjoys working closely with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders in a creative, fast-paced environment.This is a full-time independent contractor position operating on a hybrid schedule, based in New York City.A successful applicant has:4-5 years of experience working in design, marketing, advertising, communications, or a related creative field, either at an agency or in-house.A strong portfolio demonstrating high-level graphic design, art direction, motion graphics, animation, and video content.Excellent command of Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, and other industry-standard creative tools.Extensive experience creating motion graphics, animations, video edits, digital assets, campaign visuals, and social content.The ability to translate complex ideas into compelling visual concepts, campaigns, and design systems.Strong creative and strategic thinking, with the ability to connect design decisions to client goals and audience needs.Experience working across multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, client-facing role. During the initial six-month period at Cause Lab, this role will be structured as a freelance independent contractor position under the terms outlined below. Following the completion of this period, there will be an option to move into a full-time employee role.The working schedule for this position is 40 hours per week. Cause Lab operates on a hybrid schedule, with in-person work at our New York City office on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, and remote work on Thursdays and Fridays. Working hours are 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. each working day. This position is based in New York City and may require some travel. Candidates must be based in the United States.
