Job Title: Learn & Engage Coordinator Department: Learn & Engage Supervisor: Associate Director, Learn & EngagePart Time or Full Time: Part-time hourly, non-exempt Average Hours Worked Per Week: 24, though weekly hours may vary based on program schedules POSITION DESCRIPTION Pioneer Works is seeking a Learn and Engage Coordinator to support the growth and development of the organization’s Learn and Engage programs, reporting directly to the Associate Director, Learn & Engage. The ideal candidate has at least 4 years of experience working with youth, young adults, adult learners and community-driven organizations, with excellent administrative skills, organizational skills, interpersonal skills and enthusiasm for community engagement and interdisciplinary education. The Learn and Engage Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the execution of all youth classes, continuing education classes, exhibition tours, coordinating monthly community programs for all ages, and acting as a departmental liaison for all program and workshop educators. RESPONSIBILITIES Administrative Support:Serve as a point of contact for departmental communications by responding to email, phone, and in-person inquiries from Pioneer Works Staff and external partners to coordinate on-site and off-site program logisticsTrack and report all youth program, continuing education, and community engagement expenses and receiptsCollect and input data from all program attendance and feedback from all evaluation forms into the appropriate documentsCoordinate space usage and set up for on-site and off-site programming with all relevant stakeholdersCommunicate scheduling, contracts, and invoicing for all program educatorsTrack and manage program schedules across all programsPerform other administrative duties as needed Operational Support:Procure, distribute, and oversee the inventory of materials for and to all youth programs, continuing education classes, and community engagement programsMaintain the function and organization of the classroom, alternative learning spaces, program supplies and devices for all youth programs, continuing education classes, and community engagement programs on-site and off-siteTrack and regularly update program attendance across all youth programs, continuing education classes, and community engagement programsCoordinate activities and personnel for activations for all ages monthly at Second SundaysCoordinate activities and personnel for Community Engagement activations and tabling events throughout the yearBe on-site and off-site point of contact for educators, school time classes, afterschool youth classes, and provide support for the classes as needed Programming Support:Support the Associate Director, Learn and Engage and PW educators in the development and execution of school programs, continuing education classes, school tours, and community engagement activities and eventsServe as point of contact for communication by addressing email, phone, and in-person inquiries from educators to coordinate and support school programming for on-site and off-site logisticsCoordinate and lead/co-facilitate for the Exhibition Tours programAttend local school and community based organization community engagement events throughout the year as directedCommunicate and coordinate the projects and tasks within the Learn and Engage associate roles and responsibilities.Support Second Sunday facilitators for all workshops on-site at Pioneer WorksSupport the Learn and Engage team for all off-site community eventsA successful candidate will have: Excellent writing and communication skills Experience and excitement in engaging with the public Attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects at once and adhering to deadlines Demonstrated experience in working in a collaboratively and independently in an interdisciplinary environment Experience organizing schedules and program logistics with multiple parties Experience working with public, charter schools and community based organizations preferred Requirements BA in education, administration or related field of practice. At least 4 years of experience coordinating programs for all ages and working in community-directed organizations. Excellent organizational skills, interpersonal skills and enthusiasm for community engagement for all ages. Demonstrated interest in interdisciplinary programming and commitment to diverse audiences. SCHEDULEGenerally Wednesday-Fridays from 10am-6 pm in-person at Pioneer Works, with some weekend hours required based on the program schedule.
