Art Crating, Inc., a high-end art handling company of 39 years located in Maspeth-Queens, seeks a full-time, experienced, professional crate builder to join our team. At AC, we are renowned for and specialize in crating and packing of all forms of fine art and work on many challenging and exciting projects. This job offers a unique insight into the art world from the perspective of the artist, gallery, museum, and collector. As a premium fine art company, Art Crating Inc. provides installation, transport, packing and crating of contemporary, modern and blue-chip art. At least five years of professional practice working in a crate shop with a hands-on background is a must. Additional training in creative/sculptural woodwork, cabinetry, furniture making or general carpentry is a plus. Applicants must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. with or without accommodation. All applicants must have positive, progressive attitudes and experience working in groups, with a developed sensitivity for interacting with clients and understanding of job site decorum. Additionally, truck driving with clean driving record is a must, and experience operating forklift is a plus.
