Selected educators will be placed in Brooklyn-based public and private schools to lead our After-School Art Programs.Qualifications & Requirements • Education: MFA in Visual Art preferred; BFA or MA will also be considered. • Teaching Experience: Prior experience working with elementary students is required. A strong understanding of childhood development is essential.• Artistic Expertise:• Proficiency in watercolor, tempera, acrylic, and oil painting, with the ability to demonstrate techniques effectively.• Familiarity with various art-making techniques, including collage, printmaking, cardboard construction, clay, and papier-mâché.• Experience with pottery wheel techniques is a plus. If not proficient, a willingness to learn pottery skills is required.• Skills & Attributes:• Strong knowledge of modern and contemporary art practices.• Excellent communication and classroom engagement skills.• Ability to inspire and guide students in their creative exploration.Additional Requirements• Applicants must provide two reference letters upon selection to support their placement in schools.If you are passionate about art education and eager to inspire young artists, we encourage you to apply!
