Flavor Paper is a handscreened and digital wallpaper studio located in Brooklyn, NY.Position:Flavor Paper is looking for an experienced screen printer. This individual must be able to handle the physical demands of printing and working efficiently to meet daily schedule requirements. An appreciation for and understanding of printmaking and craftsmanship is essential to this position. The ideal candidate is a motivated, hard working individual with a high standard for quality to assist in producing our product.Key Qualifications: Previous silkscreen experience in a high quality production environment Experience working collaboratively Strong attention to detail Capable of meeting physical demands of the position Ability to receive and follow instructions and communicate effectively Comfortable using Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Excel BFA preferredRoutine Duties: Work with a team to produce daily print schedule Review and prioritize relevant time and material needed for specific tasks with Production Manager Color match and digitally catalog custom ink recipes Maintain cleanliness, organization, and availability of inventory of inks, screens, and other work supplies Receive large incoming shipments Pack and label product for shipment Accurately identify color discrepancies by sight and adjust appropriately Seek to achieve high quality craftsmanship in all aspects of productionPhysical Demands: Must be able to lift heavy objects regularly including but not limited to bolts of paper up to 50 pounds and 80 inch tall silk screen frames Must be able to print in tandem with another employee for extended periods of time Must be able to bend and reach repetitively, pulling a squeegee over a long, elevated table* Must be able to be on their feet for an 8 hour shift
