We are seeking candidates for a Trucking Operations leadership position. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated professional that demonstrates strong organizational skills, attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Qualified candidates should possess experience in trucking, transportation, logistics, dispatching, or operations management. Experience with fleet management, dispatch systems, telematics platforms, and supervisory responsibilities is preferred. Previous experience in fine art handling logistics, both in-the-field and in-office is highly desirable.This position provides real advancement opportunity as it is intended to be a stepping stone into the Trucking Operations Manager roll.TRUCKING OPERATIONS ASSISTANT MANAGER The assistant manager reports to the Trucking Operations Manager, providing additional/ back-up support and coverage for all the essential functions including: Tracking day to day trucking schedule, with visibility through proprietary Dispatch Calendar. software. Ensuring all scheduled jobs are booked and assigned to a route; all documentation and labels are printed with complete and accurate information. Confirming availability, communicating with client-facing project coordinators, and clients with anticipated date/timing prior to an upcoming job. Communicating with art handling teams in the field for status updates and troubleshooting problems that arise, relaying critical details to project and account managers in real-time.Managing supply inventory and upkeep of all packing materials, tools and equipment used in the field. Quality control preparations with project coordinators and account-managers to ensure the right questions are asked, identifying additional information required. Ensuring that essential information is available to driver/art handlers, and communicated both in-person and in-writing instruction. Review and prepare daily ‘pick list’ for upcoming routes.Fleet management: Tracking vehicle inspections, communicating any damage, systems trouble, traffic accidents, moving or parking violations for proper escalation In addition to supporting the Trucking Operations Manager above, additional responsibilities of the Assistant Manager include: Administration and implementation of the Telematics & GPS Tracking software platform.Coordinating scheduled vehicle maintenance and service.Data entry updates in proprietary logistics management software platform.File archive organization including management of condition inspection photos.
