Contemporary artist studio seeks a Fine Art Printer with a strong background in various print media techniques, excellent attention to detail, and a keen eye for accuracy are essential. Printmaker will play a critical role in producing large-scale paintings, working closely with the artist and studio team to ensure the highest quality standards are met. While the primary technique used in the studio is screen printing, relief, hybrid, and experimental print processes are also incorporated into the work. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, focused, reliable, and able to take direction well. Candidates must have dependable transportation and be comfortable working in a collaborative studio environment. This position may require scheduling flexibility to meet project deadlines, including occasional evening and weekend work. ResponsibilitiesEnsure screens and other print matrices are properly aligned and registered for printing.Mix and match paints and inks according to artist specifications.Conduct color testing to ensure accuracy and consistency.Set up and operate screen printing equipment and related tools.Monitor print quality throughout production and make adjustments as needed.Troubleshoot and resolve technical printing issues.Provide input on technical aspects of print production to enhance final outcomes.Inspect prints for color accuracy, registration, and overall quality.Identify and address defects or imperfections in printed surfaces.Maintain, organize, and clean printing equipment and work areas.Document, organize, and relay project-related information for the Artist\'s archiveAssist with the development and execution of relief, hybrid, and experimental print processes as needed.Capable of preparing, coating, reclaiming, and exposing screens Assist in training new print assistants when necessary
