Ulrik seeks a part-time Gallery Assistant to support all aspects of gallery operations: exhibitions, sales, press and artist relations. The position offers the opportunity to become full-time after the initial onboarding period.The ideal candidate is proactive, organized and has experience working independently and efficiently in a commercial gallery environment. The position requires ability to work calmly in a fast-paced small gallery context. This is an on-site role spanning administrative, logistical, and operational support functions.ResponsibilitiesManage daily gallery operations, including openings, viewings, gallery tours, and art fairsAdministrative tasks, including generating PDFs, checklists, Artlogic private views, consignments, and invoicesAssist with maintaining Instagram and mailchimp platforms, press outreachUpdate contact and client lists, assist with sales and client communicationsMaintain archive, CVs, bios, and websiteSupport all phases of exhibition production including shipments, installation, deinstallation, and exhibition turnoverQualificationsMA or BA in art history, art business, arts administration, or related fieldMinimum two years of experience in a commercial gallery, with firsthand understanding of the operational demands of a small businessExceptional organizational precision and follow-throughAbility to manage competing priorities under pressure and without close supervisionGenuine engagement with contemporary art Strong written and verbal communication skillsBasic art handling and installation skills Technical SkillsProficiency in Microsoft Office Experience with Artlogic preferredAdobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign and Photoshop, preferredSchedule3 days a week, 10 am-6 pm, with potential for a full-time position after several months. Hourly rate commensurate with experience.
