OverviewThe New Information Digital Strategy and Business Development Associate is responsible for shaping and executing the studio’s external communications, client outreach, and strategic storytelling across digital channels and client-facing materials. This role bridges strategy, content, and business development and supports both the studio’s public presence and its work with current and prospective clients.This is a hands-on position requiring strong writing skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to translate ideas into clear, compelling materials.Role DescriptionExternal Communications — Plan and produce a monthly studio newsletter, including content development, writing, and distribution — Create and manage weekly content for Instagram and LinkedIn, ensuring consistency in voice, positioning, and visual alignment — Support the studio’s overall digital presence with a strategic, editorial mindset Key Responsibilities Client Outreach & Business Development — Develop capabilities decks that clearly articulate the studio’s services, point of view, and value — Conduct research to support client targeting, positioning, and outreach strategies — Lead the creation of proposals, including strategy, narrative structure, and written content — Collaborate with Owner/Creative Director to refine messaging for prospective clients Client Services — Contribute to strategy work for active clients, including cultural and civic organizations — Support client relationship-building through thoughtful touch points, including client gifting — Assist in translating strategic thinking into presentations and deliverables Press & Public Relations — Write and edit press releases aligned with studio initiatives and client work — Manage press distribution and maintain relationships with relevant media contacts — Support earned media efforts through clear, concise, and well-positioned messaging Qualifications— Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt tone for different audiences and contexts — Experience in digital strategy, communications, or content strategy; ideally within a design, branding, creative studio, or arts organization — Comfort developing presentations, proposals, and strategic documents — Fluency in social media platforms, particularly Instagram and LinkedIn, as well as Google Workspace, Slack, and CRM systems — Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing recurring deliverables and deadlines — Strategic thinker who can execute independently and collaboratively — Familiarity with Arts & Culture, Technology, Design, and Fashion preferred — B.A. or B.F.A. and two years of related professional experience About New InformationBased in Brooklyn, New Information focuses on brand strategy, identity, digital, and publication design for cultural institutions and businesses across the arts, design, technology, and fashion.
