Company information Snøhetta is an international, interdisciplinary architecture and landscape architecture firm with studios worldwide. The US office is working on architectural, interior, and landscape projects associated with libraries, performance spaces, master plans, academia, museums, park planning, and public plazas throughout the Americas. Snøhetta US is seeking a Communications Coordinator to create original written content about the firm and manage content with the press. Additionally, there will be a need to coordinate related business development efforts and both external and internal communications for the Snøhetta US team (SnUS), based in New York City. Summary This position is part of the Communications Team working to maintain and enhance Snøhetta’s reputation and identity within highly visible and competitive markets for design and related services in the fields of architecture, landscape architecture, urban design, interiors, branding, and product design. The Communications Coordinator is a staff position reporting to the firm’s Director of Business Strategy and Partnerships, contributing to the realization of the firm’s professional and business objectives. In addition to generating original content, the Communications Coordinator is tasked with planning, managing, and coordinating various communication modes, media, and channels, consistent with an agreed direction and approach. This includes, but is not limited to: Managing press kits and publication materials (Project Descriptions, selection of images, processing of images, drawings, and credits). Generation, editing, and dissemination of written, graphic, and media content. This includes content needed to support marketing/business development efforts. Publications (including photography and graphic material) Coordination of communication work product/output with other individuals/teams within SnUS and its sister companies, the firm’s business/professional consultants and advisers, other external parties (as appropriate) to implement firm initiatives and projects. Relevant information gathering, analysis and reporting related to the work of the communications function and its interactions (e.g., market conditions/trends, clients, press/media coverage, etc.) Required Skills/Abilities Strong writing and editing skills for marketing materials and social media copy Strong visual sensibility Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Creative Suite Ability to handle multiple tasks, projects, and deadlines while maintaining quality High attention to detail and accuracy Education and Experience: A minimum of 5 years’ experience, ideally with at least three years working for an architecture or landscape architecture firm Bachelor’s degree or higher Relationships The Communications Coordinator will report to the Director of Business Strategy and Partnerships and Snøhetta’s Managing Partner indirectly. The role will liaise with our Executive Team, Operations team, and project leadership. The Communications Coordinator is a member of Snøhetta’s New Business and Communications team.
