Summary Snøhetta is seeking a Proposal Manager to join it’s team in New York. The Proposal Manager will lead the efforts to help win new business for Snøhetta in the Americas by crafting high-quality responses to public and private Requests for Proposals (RFP), award submissions, lecture and presentation opportunities, among other pursuits. The Proposal Manager is part of the Business Strategy and Communications Team working to win new work in highly competitive markets for design and related services in the fields of architecture, landscape architecture, urban design, interiors, branding and product design. The role works to develop market-specific materials within the global Snohetta framework. The Proposal Manager reports to the firm’s Director of Business Strategy and Partnerships and contributes to the realization of the firm’s professional and business objectives. Key Responsibilities The Proposal Manager is responsible for managing and executing a wide range of marketing activities that promote Snøhetta’s US brand, support business development goals, and showcase the firm’s projects. This position plays a key leadership role within the Business Development Team, working cross-functionally with project leadership, design staff, executives, and external stakeholders to ensure the delivery of strategic, high-quality content and marketing materials. The Proposal Manager will collaborate with our global studios to facilitate the production of quality marketing materials. The key work focus of the Proposal Manager position includes, but is not limited to: Collaborate with leadership to align marketing efforts with firm-wide strategic goals and business development initiatives Leads the proposal process and serves as the main point of contact for internal staff. Ensures timely and high-quality writing, layout, and graphic design. Manages multiple proposal deadlines and coordinates the various proposal contributors and deliverables Work with architects, landscape architects, and interior architects to draft design approach statements Generate, edit, and disseminate graphic and media content, including content needed to support marketing/business development efforts Coordinate consultant teams and provide input on internal team structure Gather relevant information, analysis, and reporting related to the work of the business development function and its interactions (e.g., market conditions/trends, clients, etc.) Manage the development of marketing content such as presentations, project narratives, employee bios, and award submittals Ensure the library of marketing assets, including templates, resumes, project sheets, and photography, is maintained and updated regularly Liaising and coordinating with Snøhetta’s Oslo team on various marketing-related efforts Education and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field preferred 5+ years of marketing experience, preferably with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role Experience in architecture, engineering, construction or related design firm preferred Strong writing, editing, and communication skills Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively Proficiency with full Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office 365, and marketing platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Instagram, etc) is required. Experience with CRM, proposal management systems, or digital asset management tools is a plus. Relationships The Proposal Manager reports to the firm’s Director of Business Strategy and Partnerships and contributes to the realization of the firm’s professional and business objectives. This role works closely with the Executive Team, studio Directors, and members of each design discipline, and will oversee the Communications Coordinator.
