The Firm:Riggs Art Consultants (RAC) is a NYC-based corporate art consulting and strategic planning firm. We design and deliver art programs that align with our client’s business objectives through detailed research and planning, relationships with exceptional industry partners, and skillful execution. Typical clients include law firms, financial management companies, other class-A office tenants and national real estate developers. RAC works almost exclusively with living artists, sourcing artworks from artists directly, international galleries and B2B vendors. The position is based in midtown Manhattan and requires in-office presence Monday through Friday. This employee will report directly to the Art Consultants. The Role:RAC is seeking an Art & Design Assistant to support the Art Consultants and Firm with a variety of administrative, art, and design tasks. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Provide administrative and project support to Art Consultants and the Project Management team, including:Digest and save artwork checklists from galleries; liaise with database administrator to upload and maintain accuracy of artworks.Schedule client meetings, site visits, and studio/gallery visits; book travel planning.Organize project and artwork folders in Dropbox; save, format, and print materials.Assist with special client-related projects as needed.Conduct client and artwork research.Assist in communicating artwork attributes, context, and value to Art Consultants.Prepare polished presentation materials and other content for client meetings.Accurately read architectural plans and interior design specifications. Create scaled elevations and renderings.Refine presentation decks and draft artist bios and artwork descriptions.When requested, liaise with galleries and artists to request lists of available artworks, and exhibition and art fair previews.Stay informed on emerging artists, galleries, and art market trends relevant to active projects.Assist in identifying new artist and gallery relationships.Attend art fairs, galleries, and artist studios as needed. Qualifications & Qualities:2.5+ years of experience, ideally in a creative, art, or design-related field.Four-year college degree or equivalent experience; background in art (e.g., B.A. in Art History) or strong interest in art and designStrong proficiency in Adobe Photoshop required. Familiarity with architectural drawings and databases preferred.Strong organizational, administrative, and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills.Professional and confident demeanor, with the ability to interact comfortably with colleagues and clients.Detail-oriented and thoughtful problem-solver, with the ability to process information at both a high level and in detail.Ability to take direction, learn quickly, and follow through with care and accuracy.Calm under pressure with a positive, proactive attitude.High level of integrity, reliability, and motivation.Strong interpersonal skills, including active listening and a collaborative mindset.Enthusiasm for being part of a growing, dynamic team.Interest in corporate environments, architecture, and the built environment is a plus. Salary: $55,000 to $68,000 based on experience
