Winston Wächter Fine Art, New York seeks a part-time Gallery Intern for Spring 2026. The ideal candidate should be reliable, proactive, extremely organized, and possess strong interpersonal skills. The Gallery Intern will work as part of a small team and contribute to day-to-day operations of the gallery. The position is part time, 2 days a week. Those with an interest in working in the art world are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: -Assisting with front of house and reception duties, ensuring that front desk is presentable -Assisting in the design and production of various marketing and promotional materials, such as brochures, flyers, social media graphics, and website visuals. -Collaborating with the Gallery Associate to develop creative concepts and innovative design for marketing -Supporting gallery staff with general administrative tasks and general gallery operations-Helping to organize exhibition openings, dinners, and events -Checking and keeping the office stocked with supplies -Assisting with the safe handling of artworks-Assisting in the inventory management of artworks, including cataloging and database entry, archiving -Assisting with the maintenance and organization of art storage areas -Conducting research and gathering interior designer and art consultant contacts -Updating artist CVs, bios and pressDesired Qualifications:-Actively working towards undergraduate or graduate degree -Polished, professional demeanor -Excellent oral and written communication skills -Punctual, meticulous, and highly detail-oriented -Proactive work ethic, positive attitude, and flexible working style -Ability to multitask and work in a small, collaborative, and close-knit team setting -Keen to learn -Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite -Knowledge of Adobe Suite a plus Skills the intern will gain during the internship: -Marketing gallery exhibitions -Communicating with professional artists and the potential clients -Organizing and archiving inventory -Assisting in events and updating social media postings -Packaging of artworks and shipping -Installing and De-installing shows -Being the face of the gallery for visitors and during openings Professional Development:-Through collaborating with and mentorship from the director, registrar and associate, interns will gain professional experience in a fast paced, detail oriented environment of a commercial gallery, and participate in day to day responsibilities (listed above) that provide the necessary skills to excel in the field.
