Collaborating to shape and articulate their missions, amplify their voices, and elevate their work, we facilitate lasting contributions to the global cultural conversation, and drive it forward.We are seeking a full-time Account Coordinator or Senior Account Coordinator with experience in arts and culture communications to join our result-oriented team. Working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, the Coordinator will assist the team with daily tasks, help implement high-impact earned media strategies, craft a wide variety of communications materials, and support the management of several key accounts. This is a dynamic role with a significant administrative component and great possibilities for growth. The job will require occasional travel, and work on events that may take place on nights and weekends.Applicants should be based in New York City or the tri-state area. Our office functions on a hybrid work from home model, with employees expected to work from our Lower East Side office a minimum of two days per week.RESPONSIBILITIES+ Help develop targeted media strategies for clients across a range of cultural fields+ Draft engaging, incisive press releases, pitches, and other communications materials, often under tight deadlines+ Build and maintain trusting client relationships with clear and consistent communication, responsiveness, and professionalism+ Identify target audiences and assist with pitching and placing stories in a wide variety of media+ Develop and maintain relationships with critics, reporters, producers, and editors+ Manage client meeting agendas, scheduling, and calendars+ Manage lists, pitch trackers, and reports+ Proactively monitor media and trends+ Help train and supervise internsDESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE+ B.A. degree+ 1 - 2 years PR experience, in-house or at an agency+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills+ Active and demonstrated interest in the arts+ Strong time management skills and ability to multitask+ Broad understanding of the media landscape and evolving trends+ Relationships with editors, journalists, bookers, and segment producers in the culture space+ Familiarity with digital marketing and social media+ Experience with client management+ Demonstrated history of creative problem-solving, responsiveness, and lateral thinking+ Familiarity with Slack, Mailchimp, Google Suite, and PR DatabasesBENEFITS+ Comprehensive Health, Dental, and Optical Insurance+ 401K match program+ Flexible PTOSalary commensurate with experience.
