Lehmann Maupin is looking for a highly motivated college or graduate-level intern to work in the Marketing & Communications Department, assisting with all departmental functions with a particular emphasis on digital marketing and administrative organization.The internship position is an opportunity for a qualified candidate to gain a better understanding of how an international contemporary art gallery operates. The intern will support the Marketing & Communications team on projects related to image, web, archive, and contact management, and will support the department’s organizational and administrative needs. This role will also touch digital content marketing, press and media relations, and artist and artwork research related to the gallery’s global programming.An ideal candidate should be highly organized, articulate, self-motivated, and adaptable. The intern should be digital-savvy, have strong writing skills, and pay exceptional attention to detail. The ability to work nimbly in a collaborative environment is essential. ResponsibilitiesMarketingDraft, edit, and adapt marketing copy across channels, including social media (Instagram, Threads, Facebook, and LinkedIn).Liaise with external consultants to provide assets and information.Support content build-out for the gallery\'s website.Brainstorm and contribute new content ideas for social media and other marketing channels on an ongoing basis. Maintain Google Business listings and publication listings (ie Frieze, Substacks). Assist with advertising production pipeline including trafficking invoices and tracking internal and external deadlines. Departmental Project Management Maintain and update shared departmental content calendar(s) and project management documents. Develop proficiency with Artlogic and update contact information in the gallery database.Assist with the maintenance of PR contact lists, press trackers, and archiving published press.Support with the creation and distribution of press kits and press packets.Support with additional departmental tasks as needed.
