Location: Tribeca, NYCSchedule: Part-time: Wednesdays, every other weekHours:10am - 5pmStart Date: March/April 2026Pay: $25 / hrEstablished artist studio in Tribeca is seeking a highly organized, self-directed Studio Assistant / Studio Manager. You will be working one-on-one with the artist. This is a hands-on, multifaceted role that combines studio management, artwork handling, administrative coordination, and light creative support. This role is approximately 2 days per month.Responsibilities include:Acting as liaison between the studio and galleries, curators, collectors, and institutionsCoordinating with art storage facilities, shippers, and vendorsHandling, wrapping, packing, and transporting artworkStretching canvas and assisting with basic fabrication tasksManaging documentation: consignments, bills of lading (BOLs), salesMaintaining artwork records and archives using Artwork ArchivePhotographing and formatting artwork for documentation, web, and submissionsAssisting with grant applications and artist support materials (CV, bio)Managing press, publications, and image requestsUpdating and maintaining the studio website (basic HTML/web design)Project management and task tracking (familiarity with Trello)Occasional creative asset production (posters, merch)Studio upkeep and organization (cleaning, supplies, general maintenance)Running errands and grabbing lunch as neededRequired skills & experience:High attention to detail and accuracy for data entry and archival record keepingProficiency in Photoshop. InDesign a plus.Strong organizational, communication, and follow-through skillsComfortable handling artwork safely and professionallyMust be able to work independently and manage multiple prioritiesComfortable working closely, one-on-one with the artist in a self-directed roleNice to have:Prior experience in an artist’s studio, gallery, or art handlingDriver’s licenseFamiliarity with shipping logistics and storage workflowsOther details:Dog-friendly 🐶 Chihuahua to be exact.Some lifting required
