About the Role
The Traveling Senior Project Manager will provide senior-level oversight of complex technical projects across multiple states. This role leads project strategy, financial performance, client coordination, and team execution from preconstruction through closeout, with full travel required based on project location.
Responsibilities
- Lead large, technically complex projects from preconstruction through final completion
- Oversee overall project financial performance including budgeting, forecasting, cost controls, and change management
- Direct subcontractor procurement, contract negotiations, buyout, and vendor coordination
- Partner with field leadership to develop construction sequencing, manpower plans, and schedule control strategies
- Serve as the primary senior point of contact for owners, engineers, architects, and regulatory agencies
- Drive compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards across all phases of construction
- Review and approve major submittals, RFIs, procurement packages, and construction deliverables
- Lead executive-level project meetings, client updates, and program reviews
- Manage multiple project teams or a single flagship project depending on scope
- Support preconstruction efforts including constructability input, value engineering, and early budgeting
- Mentor project managers, assistant PMs, and project engineers to build strong technical teams
- Lead project closeout strategy including commissioning, turnover, and warranty transition
- Contribute to business development through client retention, proposal support, and repeat work initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related technical discipline preferred
- 7+ years of experience managing large-scale industrial, mission critical, water and wastewater, or food and beverage projects
- Proven track record delivering complex facilities under aggressive schedules
- Strong financial management, contract administration, and risk mitigation experience
- Experience working in regulated construction environments such as data centers, water treatment, pharmaceutical, food production, or advanced manufacturing
- Advanced leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
- Proficiency with enterprise-level construction management platforms
- Ability and willingness to travel nationally for extended project assignments
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $150,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
