Engagement type: Flexible for the right candidate (employee or contractor).
Full-time preferred, but flexible for the right candidate
Salary: $90,000–$110,000 USD per annum, depending on experience.
Work hours: Overlap with US business hours anywhere from PST to EST (or in between).
Location: Remote but candidate will be based in the United States.
Reports to: Head of Growth and Head of Projects.

Pacific IQ is a Shopify-focused agency partnering with merchants to improve sales and profitability through better decisions, better execution, and better outcomes in Shopify.
Role summary
You’ll be the day-to-day Shopify operator for a portfolio of clients—working closely with our Head of Growth and Head of Projects to execute changes inside Shopify: theme population and updates, app installs/configuration, troubleshooting, and ongoing store improvements.
This is not an “alone on an island” support role. You’ll have:
- Direct access to the agency owners and a tight senior team for fast decisions
- A front-end development team at your fingertips for deeper theme/code changes
- Clear project leadership (Growth + Projects) so priorities stay aligned
What you’ll do
Shopify store management (core)
- Manage and maintain Shopify stores day-to-day: products, collections, navigation, pages, content, settings, and storefront configurations
- Populate and update themes (sections, templates, settings), and coordinate with devs when code changes are required
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Shopify apps; test changes safely and document outcomes
- Spot issues early, recommend durable solutions, and keep store execution moving
Collaborative delivery (you’re part of the core team)
- Partner with the Head of Growth + Head of Projects to translate priorities into clean Shopify execution
- Triage requests intelligently:
– resolve directly in Shopify when possible
– investigate and propose the right next step when not
– loop in front-end dev support for builds/edits that require code
- Communicate clearly with clients: what changed, why it matters, what’s next
Growth input (strategist-track)
- Provide direct input into growth strategy across marketing touchpoints, including (where relevant): onsite CRO, email/SMS, landing pages, merchandising, app stack, and site performance
- Share insights from what you see in-store every day (friction points, quick wins, recurring issues, testing ideas)
- Over time, there’s room to grow this role into a strategy-forward operator (and eventually a strategist) as you prove impact and take on more ownership
Ops hygiene (how we stay organised)
- Keep ClickUp clean: tasks/tickets logged, updated, and time tracked
- Share concise end-of-day updates to the team via Slack
- Join weekly team meetings (scheduled within US timezones)
What success looks like
- Shopify changes ship smoothly and consistently during US-hours overlap
- You’re resolving most items independently in Shopify, escalating only when it makes sense
- Clients feel confident because communication is crisp and proactive
- You’re actively improving stores—not just reacting—by surfacing patterns and growth opportunities
- The Growth + Projects leads trust you as the person who keeps execution unblocked
What we’re looking for
- Strong working knowledge of Shopify backend, settings, and troubleshooting workflows
- Confident navigating the Shopify app ecosystem (e.g., Klaviyo, Rebuy, Recharge, Gorgias, Okendo, Yotpo) and ability to research/test/implement solutions
- Clear, professional written English (client-facing)
- Organised and accountable with task management + time tracking
- Proactive, resourceful, calm under pressure, and collaborative
