Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Case Manager to join our legal team. This role involves managing a diverse portfolio of cases across multiple practice areas, including estate planning, environmental law, family law, personal injury, and more. The ideal candidate will possess strong legal research and administrative skills, with experience in case management systems and document review. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic legal environment supporting attorneys and clients through efficient case coordination and administrative support.
Duties
- Manage and coordinate legal cases across various practice areas such as estate planning, environmental law, family law, personal injury, workers' compensation law, and others.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, iManage, and other research tools to support case development.
- Draft, review, and proofread legal documents including contracts, pleadings, reports, and correspondence with excellent attention to detail.
- Maintain accurate case files through document management systems and ensure timely filing of documents in accordance with court rules.
- Perform data entry and document review to assist attorneys in case preparation.
- Support litigation processes by organizing evidence, managing deadlines, and coordinating communication between parties.
- Provide executive administrative support including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and handling phone inquiries with professional etiquette.
- Assist with client interviews and maintain effective communication to gather necessary case information.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws such as UCC law, tribal regulations, landlord-tenant law, securities law, patent law, and immigration law as needed.
- Utilize project management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently across multiple cases.
Experience
- Paralegal experience or prior legal administrative experience is highly preferred.
- Proven track record in legal case management within a law office setting.
- Familiarity with document review processes and legal research tools such as Westlaw and LexisNexis.
- Experience working with legal software including PCLaw, iManage, Document Management Systems, and Data Entry platforms.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence.
- Demonstrated proficiency in proofreading and transcription tasks.
- Knowledge of various practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, family law, personal injury law, workers' compensation law, patent law, securities law, landlord-tenant law, tribal regulations, immigration law, and litigation processes is desirable but not mandatory. Pay: $23.86 - $28.74 per hour
