The Director of National Accounts is responsible for leading and overseeing a team of National Account Managers to drive growth within the Foodservice (FS) National Accounts sector, focusing on C-Stores, Assemblers, and QSR/FSRs in Canada. This role collaborates closely with various departments including Sales, Marketing, Insights, R&D, Finance, and Supply Chain to develop and implement strategies aimed at boosting revenue, profitability, and long-term customer relationships.
The successful candidate will work towards enhancing customer partnerships, fostering product innovation, and cultivating a high-performing team capable of achieving ambitious business goals.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of National Account Managers to meet sales, profit, and growth targets.
Create and execute customer strategies that enhance relationships and achieve revenue and profit goals.
Collaborate with various departments to introduce new products and increase sales of existing SKUs.
Analyze product/customer margins with Pricing, Finance, and Category Marketing teams to drive profitability.
Negotiate contracts with customers to maximize value in alignment with company objectives.
Represent Growth Channels and Canada alongside the VP of National Accounts, highlighting key insights, challenges, and opportunities.
Oversee the annual budget for National Accounts Growth Channels.
Ensure effective capture, tracking, and communication of sales pipeline opportunities.
Deliver impactful sales and marketing presentations supported by data and customer insights.
Attend trade shows, customer meetings, and industry events as required.
Complete all necessary reporting, documentation, and administrative tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree.
At least 10 years of progressive experience in National Account management or a related field.
Demonstrated success in acquiring and expanding large strategic accounts, securing over $10 million in new business.
Prior experience managing C-Store accounts is a must.
Familiarity with Canadian National Accounts/Away from Home markets and customers is highly desirable.
Experience in commercializing custom food products with National FS Accounts.
