Responsibilities of a Business Development Manager
Base Salary and uncapped commission
· Prospecting and Lead Generation – Utilize strategic and research skills to identify and target potential clients through cold calling, networking, and other lead generation methods, specifically focusing on companies that could benefit from payroll processing, ASO, and PEO solutions.
· Client Relationships – Customize solutions to meet the specific needs of each client, addressing their pain points and objectives related to payroll administration, HR outsourcing, and compliance management.
· Client Partnerships and Cooperation – Act as a trusted advisor, understanding clients' evolving needs in workforce management and providing ongoing support for payroll, HR, and risk management solutions.
· Relationship Development – Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and prospects, demonstrating excellent client relationship skills and deep understanding of the ASO and PEO value proposition.
· Networking – Actively engage in networking activities and industry events related to HR, payroll, staffing, and business services to expand the company's reach.
· Sales Presentations – Deliver compelling and persuasive presentations to potential clients, showcasing the value and benefits of the company’s payroll, ASO, and PEO services.
Skills and Qualifications of a Business Development Manager
· Payroll, ASO, and PEO Sales Experience (Preferred) – Prior experience selling payroll processing, HR outsourcing, ASO, or PEO solutions is highly preferred. Candidates should demonstrate success in prospecting, closing deals, and managing client relationships within the HR and business services industry.
· Communication and Interpersonal Skills – Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills across various channels, including in-person, phone, and email. Proficient in conveying the benefits of payroll and HR outsourcing services persuasively and negotiating effectively.
· Client Relationship Development – Proven ability to develop and maintain long-term client relationships through consultative sales and trust-based communication.
Requirements of a Business Development Manager
· Experience – Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
· Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sales of payroll, ASO, or PEO services preferred.
· Communication – Excellent communication and presentation skills.
· Negotiation – Strong negotiation and closing skills.
· Self-Starter – Highly self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven.
· Motivated – Ability to work independently for long periods of time.
· Technology Proficiency – Proficient in CRM tools and other sales-related software.
Transportation – Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
