Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Construction Project Manager to lead and oversee diverse construction projects from inception to completion. Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and closing of construction projects, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget parameters.
- Develop comprehensive project schedules utilizing Primavera P6 or similar construction management software to coordinate tasks efficiently.
- Oversee procurement processes including construction estimating, bidding, and contract negotiations with vendors and subcontractors.
- Manage project budgets meticulously, tracking costs and implementing cost-saving measures without compromising quality or safety.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to verify project specifications and ensure accurate implementation.
- Supervise on-site construction activities by coordinating with field teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to meet project milestones.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and maintain a safe work environment through regular site inspections and safety training.
- Utilize tools such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, HeavyBid, and other construction management software for project documentation, progress tracking, and communication.
- Conduct quality control inspections to uphold high standards of workmanship and adherence to design specifications.
- Manage contracts by reviewing terms thoroughly and ensuring all contractual obligations are met by all parties involved.
- Oversee the use of technical equipment such as ohmmeters for electrical testing when required on-site.
- Maintain detailed records of project progress, change orders, RFIs (Requests for Information), safety incidents, and other critical documentation.
- Lead team meetings to communicate project updates, address challenges proactively, and foster collaboration among stakeholders.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction management with a strong background in managing large-scale projects across commercial or industrial sectors.
- Supervising experience on active construction sites with demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams effectively.
- Extensive knowledge of construction site safety protocols aligned with OSHA standards.
- Proficiency in using construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam Revu, Primavera P6 or Primavera (P3), HeavyBid or equivalent estimating tools.
- Familiarity with construction scheduling techniques and project planning methodologies.
- Strong understanding of contracts law related to construction projects including scope of work agreements and change order processes.
- Ability to read complex blueprints and schematics accurately for precise execution of plans.
- Experience in budgeting, cost control strategies, and financial reporting within the context of large-scale projects.
- Hands-on experience with technical testing equipment such as ohmmeters for electrical inspections is a plus.
- Demonstrated management skills with the ability to supervise teams effectively while maintaining high safety standards and quality assurance.
