Job Description
We are seeking a lead medical coding specialist for coding production, to oversee our USA based and offshore coding teams, and to liaison with clients regarding coding compliance/rules/process. This person must be skilled and knowledgably in the field, AAPC/CPC certified and be able to drive results for our company and our clients, and be able to work with various internal teams and with clients regarding their revenue cycle and our coding work.
Job Responsibilities
Oversee, steer, manage teams, and produce various client coding in hospital and office settings for client accounts to achieve the revenue cycle success of our clients by delivering desired results. Must be familiar with various specialty coding including office and procedure work. Must be able to oversee remote coding production staff and manage coding workflows between our teams for various client accounts. Must be able to speak with client stakeholders and providers as it relates to coding, coding education, and coding workflow. Must be able to advise internal team and lead processes and procedures and workflows related to coding within our internal company. Must be able to develop rules and guidelines in relation to various specialties, clients, and carriers.
Job Skills & Qualifications
· Must be a AAPC/CPC certified coder
· Must have experience with coding various specialties in inpatient and outpatient settings
· Must have experience leading teams, overseeing coding workflow, quality control and audits
· Must have experience in NICU coding, Radiology coding, orth/ENT/Plastics surgery coding, E&M coding
· Ability to communicate to internal teams productively
· Excellent client communication
Job Type: Full-time, remote
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00 pm EST
Salary: $17-38.00 per hour
