(Senior) Sales Manager / Asia Market East
Summary
The Sales & Marketing Representative is responsible for collaborating with the Asia sales team and customers to expand product distribution through partnerships with distributors and end customers. This role contributes to developing business strategies targeting Asian foodservice and grocery markets, conducting product training sessions, and supporting marketing initiatives aligned with the company’s growth objectives.
Essential Duties
- Develop and execute sales and marketing programs to achieve annual revenue and profitability goals within the Asia division.
- Collaborate with senior management and regional teams to execute brand initiatives and product strategies.
- Assist in new product development, pricing strategies, and promotional campaigns.
- Identify and implement opportunities for product line extensions in coordination with production teams.
- Analyze market and consumer trends to support data-driven decision-making.
- Build and maintain relationships with distributors and retail accounts in Asian markets, securing product placements and expanding new business opportunities.
- Conduct in-store merchandising activities such as stocking, display setup, and product rotation to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Manage daily communications with customers, ensuring prompt issue resolution and strong service satisfaction.
- Participate in distributor ride-alongs to strengthen relationships, open new accounts, and introduce new products.
- Support store resets, ensure schematic compliance, and manage POS placement and advertising for maximum visibility.
- Assist in trade shows and special events as needed.
- Prepare regular sales reports and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Attend company and team meetings as required (e.g., mid-year and annual meetings, weekly huddles).

The role involves frequent visits to clients in New York and New Jersey, with occasional business trips—approximately once a month—to Florida and Boston depending on customer needs. The work style is approximately 80% field-based and 20% remote (home-based).
Salary / Benefit
$90-110K + Bonus

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Minimum two years of grocery or retail sales experience with a proven record of achieving sales goals.
- Fluency in Japanese and English; proficiency in an additional Asian language (Korean or Chinese) is a plus.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
- Excellent teamwork and relationship-building skills.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and current vehicle insurance.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform merchandising tasks in store and warehouse settings.
- Professional demeanor and time management skills with the ability to represent the company positively in all customer interactions.
