No prior experience is necessary to enjoy an ArtsClub event, just a desire to express yourself and engage with others through the creative process.With studios in New York City and Washington, DC, ArtsClub hosts hundreds of events each year, from public art workshops to private events for leading organizations such as Chanel, Google, LinkedIn, The New York Times, Tinder, and The World Bank. We’ve also partnered with alumni and student groups from Yale, Harvard, Howard, Columbia, and NYU. On weekends, our studios offer recreational art classes open to the public.Role OverviewWe’re looking for a highly organized, creative, and outgoing Community Engagement Manager to join our team. This position focuses on growing ArtsClub\'s audience, overseeing public weekend programming, and bringing our events to communities throughout NYC and DC, including social clubs, hospitality groups, student groups and more. Key Responsibilities: Audience Growth & MarketingManage and update ArtsClub’s event listings and descriptions on the website and across relevant event marketplaces and discovery platformsCollaborate with the Social Media Manager and Management Team to develop, execute and track marketing strategies to grow public event attendance, expand local awareness and generate new private event opportunities.Send weekly email newslettersCommunity PartnershipsDevelop partnerships with social clubs, student and alumni organizations, hospitality groups and other community-based organizations.Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing community partners.Create and distribute event proposals, programming recommendations, and partnership materials.Travel to Washington DC as needed to build relationships with community partners Public Programming & Events ManagementPublic Programming:Oversee the planning and coordination of weekend public programming in New York and DC, including website listings, event logistics, staffing and internal preparationManage New York’s Saturday public events each week in personRespond to customer inquiries and requests related to public programmingCommunity-Based Private Events: In collaboration with the Private Events Manager, plan, coordinate and manage private events for social clubs, hospitality groups, student and alumni groups and other community driven organizationsLead art history and/ or studio art instruction as neededGather guest and partner feedback and identify opportunities to strengthen ArtsClub programming and community engagement.Schedule & LocationFull-time (~40 hours/week), Tuesday–SaturdayTypical hours are 11:30AM to 7:30PM on Saturdays and 10AM to 6PM Tuesday–Friday, with weekday hours shifting as needed to accommodate evening events.Schedule switches to Monday-Friday, Memorial Day - Labor DayIn person at our East Village studio (311 East 3rd Street)Evening availability required for event coverageQualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Art History, Studio Art or Arts Education2-5 years experience in marketing and/ or events management Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independentlyExceedingly strong level of attention to detailClear and professional communication skills, both written and verbalOutgoing and confident communicating with guests and community partnersComfortable balancing strategic, administrative and physical, hands-on event workA dedicated team player that is willing to take on any task, however big or smallThis position is best suited for a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced, small business setting, where each member of the team supports one another in a wide variety of tasks.
