The Art Career is a cultural media platform founded and hosted by Emily McElwreath, combining long-form interviews, institutional coverage, behind-the-scenes access, cultural reporting, and documentary-style storytelling.Featuring guests such as Jerry Saltz, Marilyn Minter, Mickalene Thomas, and Rachel Dratch, the series provides rare insight into the realities of building a life in the arts.Through conversations with artists, curators, critics, performers, and cultural leaders—as well as on-location reporting from museums, universities, cultural institutions, studios, and public art projects—The Art Career takes audiences inside the spaces where creative lives are built.The Art Career Podcast is going into its 10th Season and is looking for a new team member to document interviews, create social media content, and continue to expand the reach of The Art Career platform as a whole (Instagram, YouTube, etc).Qualifications:Produce excellent hooks, pacing, editing, typography, sound and visual storytellingUnderstand Instagram + YouTube Shorts, not just Instagram aestheticsBe able to identify moments from long-form episodes that would have pull in online contentHave an understanding of growth mechanics—retention, watch time, shares, saves, thumbnails/titles, testing hooksIdeally, have experience with growing a personality-led media, cultural, editorial or podcast account, rather than simply managing consumer-brand social
