Greene Naftali is seeking a highly motivated candidate for the role of Communications Assistant. Theappropriate candidate is organized, punctual, adaptable and deadline-oriented, with strong writingand editing capabilities, and a deep interest in art history. Reports to: Manager of Archives &Communications.Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Communications & MarketingWrite and edit copy for external platforms — focusing on email campaigns, social media announcements and website content — with supervision from the gallery\'s Manager of Archives and Communications. Copyedit and support research for exhibition press releases.Literature & Press ArchiveUpdate and standardize artist press packets with content approval from gallery’s Artist Liaisons; oversee the systematic filing of new literature on gallery’s server. Maintain gallery\'s style guide in formatting press/literature, filing all texts with support from gallery’s Archival Intern.EditorialField press and image requests to their respective Artist Liaison; seek approvals for, and fulfill, imagerequests. Support press outreach and develop media kits, with support from Artist Liaisons — forforthcoming exhibitions. Write to authors and editors as needed to confirm image selections, caption details and content; oversee editorial suggestions/corrections.SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in art history; philosophy; creative writing or a comparable area of study required. Direct experience in external communications & writing, as well as fluency with Adobe Creative Cloud, is imperative. Experience in galleries or museums is highly advantageous.
