Gallery Manager / RegistrarA contemporary art gallery in West Hollywood is seeking an experienced, highly organized, and proactive Gallery Manager / Registrar to oversee gallery operations, exhibition logistics, artwork registration, and client services. This is a dynamic, hands-on role requiring exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a commercial gallery, museum, or related arts organization and be comfortable balancing registrarial responsibilities with day-to-day gallery operations.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Manage inventory, artwork tracking, and database records (ArtLogic)Coordinate local, domestic, and international shipping for exhibitions, art fairs, client deliveries, and artwork movementsPrepare shipping documentation, consignment and loan agreements, condition reports and other registrarial recordsCoordinate packing, crating, transit insurance, and import/export compliance for artwork shipmentsInstall/deinstall gallery exhibitions, soft-pack artworks for local shipping.Organize gallery events, coordinate with vendors, track RSVP listsPrepare sales, shipping, and client invoices and assist with post-sale logisticsWelcome clients and visitors, oversee front-of-house operations, and ensure the gallery is presented to the highest standardCreate sales presentations with Adobe software and provide administrative support to the sales teamCoordinate press inquiries and support artist communications, including website updates, CVs, press materials, and social media contentWork closely with artists, collectors, vendors, shippers, and contractors to ensure projects are completed accurately and on scheduleQualificationsMinimum 3 years of experience in a gallery, museum, or fine art logistics environment.Excellent organizational, project management, and multitasking abilities.Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional, client-focused demeanor.Experience with fine art handling, installation, shipping, customs procedures, insurance, and artwork documentation.Proficiency with ArtLogic or similar gallery database software, Microsoft Suite, Adobe Creative CloudFamiliarity with invoicing, inventory management, and gallery administration.Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a small team.Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, and art fairs as required.This is a full-time position.
