Art Gallery Sales AssistantGemini G.E.L., an internationally renowned fine art print publisher and gallery, located in West Hollywood, is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Sales Assistant to join its team immediately. The gallery presents new publications alongside historical surveys of its editions. The ideal candidate has a strong knowledge of contemporary art, a minimum of three years of gallery sales experience, exceptional communication skills, and a proactive, collaborative approach. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a creative, fast-paced environment. Work hours are in-person Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Responsibilities:Serve as the first point of contact in the gallery for visitorsField phone and email inquiries Assist the Director of Sales with client presentations, sales and consignment arrangements, including creating and sending follow-up price lists and visuals. Work with the Director of Sales to invoice and coordinate framing and shipping of artwork Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of artwork, inventory, consignments, and client information in the gallery databaseUpdate and maintain the website, create various online listings, schedule and send e-blasts, and manage the digital image inventoryOrganize sales materials and execute general preparation for art fair presentationsAssist the Director of Sales with marketing and PR outreachAssist with gallery exhibitions, receptions, VIP events, and artist-related programmingAssist with preparation for domestic and international art fairsContribute to social media and email marketing initiativesQualifications and Requirements:Bachelor\'s degree in Art History, Fine Art, Design, Architecture, or a related fieldMinimum three years of gallery or related fine art sales experienceStrong knowledge of contemporary art and the current art marketExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with collectors and art world professionalsProficiency with Mac OS and Microsoft Office Occasional evening and weekend availability for exhibition openings and art fairsProfessional, collaborative, and positive attitude with the ability to work effectively as part of a teamReceptive to feedback, eager to learn, and committed to continuous professional growthExceptional organizational skills with precise attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentPreferred Qualifications: Experience with ArtSystems or comparable gallery database software preferredExperience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or email marketing platforms
