PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:- Maintaining daily gallery operations- Answering phones and taking messages- Overseeing maintenance of office space- Assisting in coordinating exhibition openings, special events, and art fair participation- Scheduling and organizing calendarSKILLS/KNOWLEDGE- Experience working for a contemporary art gallery or similar institution.- Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: MSWord, Excel- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud applications (Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator are essential)- Attention to detail- Strong ability to multitask and prioritize as needed- Interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations, discretion required- Demonstrated interest in contemporary art essentialEDUCATION:BA in Art History or related field strongly preferred.
