SUMMARY: Heritage Auctions is seeking seasonal assistance during weekday, evening, and weekend exhibitions and special events. This position combines customer service and security to ensure smooth operations and an exceptional client experience. The ideal candidate has interest in Collectibles, Jewelry, Fine and Decorative Art and thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.LOCATION:Heritage Auctions New York445 Park AveNew York, NY 10022 COMPENSATION: $18/hr ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:Ensuring the safety and security of clients and auction itemsAssist clients with examining items during exhibitions and special events while following security protocolsAssistance with setup and packing of exhibitions and special eventsOccasional support various departments with administrative tasksAbility to stand for periods of time between breaksAvailable to work weekends and evenings as necessaryRequirementsEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCEBachelor’s degree or experience in a related field preferredExperience or working knowledge of luxury brands and/or the auction industry is preferredProfessional, polished demeanor - Business attire required for exhibitions and special eventsDiscretion and professionalism in handling confidential client and business informationCommitted, reliable and capable of working well as part of a teamExcellent communication and ability to accurately follow detailed instructionsA genuine passion for Collectibles, Jewelry, Fine and Decorative Art in the auction industry WORK ENVIRONMENT: Individuals must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment. During peak periods, there may be mandatory overtime, such as working extended hours, nights, and weekends. This position may require overnight travel based on business needs.
