Role & Structure The role is Associate Director in our New York office. Working closely with our CEO & Founder, the successful candidate will lead communications programs for a portfolio of cultural and creative clients. They will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, lead the delivery of high-impact campaigns, support the development of junior team members, and play a key role in shaping Scott & Co\'s continued growth and profile in the US market. This is an exceptional opportunity for a strategic, entrepreneurial and culturally engaged communications professional to take on a significant leadership role within a growing consultancy. The role offers regular collaboration with colleagues across our London office, providing opportunities to contribute to international projects and agency-wide initiatives.Responsibilities Key responsibilities include: - Serving as the senior day-to-day strategic advisor for a portfolio of cultural and creative clients.- Developing and implementing integrated communications strategies and campaigns that support client objectives and enhance reputation and visibility.- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key media, industry influencers, cultural stakeholders and strategic partners across relevant markets.- Providing senior oversight of media relations activity, ensuring the delivery of high-quality coverage and impactful storytelling opportunities across print, broadcast, digital and social channels.- Leading the development of communications materials, including messaging frameworks, press releases, briefing documents, thought leadership content and media pitches.- Overseeing campaign measurement, evaluation and reporting.- Identifying and cultivating opportunities for partnerships, speaking engagements, thought leadership and other profile-building initiatives on behalf of clients.- Managing and mentoring junior team members, supporting their professional development and ensuring excellence in account execution.- Leading client meetings, presentations and strategic planning sessions, acting as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders.- Contributing to business development activities, including proposal development, pitch participation, networking and the identification of new opportunities for agency growth.- Collaborating with colleagues across the New York and London teams to share expertise, develop integrated campaigns and support international projects.- Supporting the agency\'s profile and growth through participation in marketing initiatives, thought leadership and industry events.- Providing senior leadership for client events, media programs and stakeholder engagement initiatives, including overseeing planning, execution and follow-up activities.- Representing Scott & Co at industry events, conferences, media engagements and client functions as appropriate. Desired Experience and Skills- At least six years’ experience working in PR on arts or cultural accounts, preferably to include agency role(s).- Excellent media contacts within the art and design sectors and preferably in broader fields too.- Ability to give expert counsel to clients: to speak with authority, lead meetings, react to difficult questions and to inspire confidence among clients.- Excellent written skills.- Ability to perform at a high level in new business pitches and create top-level proposal documents and presentations.- Passion, interest and regular familiarization of the art industry in New York and the U.S.- Drive and ambition to build contacts and to be known as an industry expert.- An intuitive understanding of cultural trends.- An ability to be strategic, creative, extremely well organized and commercially minded at the same time.- Excellent people management and social skills.
