The Department of Theatre and Music Studies at SUNY Brockport
is accepting applications for part-time adjunct faculty openings to teach in the theatre and music studies programs. Adjunct faculty may teach courses such as Intro to Theatre, Intro to Music, Intro to Acting, Improvisational Theatre, Theatre History, American Musical Theatre, World Music, Music Theory, Vocal Music, Brass, Percussion, String, and Woodwind ensembles, University/Community Chorus, and University/Community Symphony.
Essential Functions:
Teaching (100%)
- Teaches assigned courses in the Department of Theatre and Music Studies
- Engages in experiential and hands-on education when appropriate
- Produces effective course materials
- Achieves student learning outcomes
Minimum Qualifications:- Master's degree in theatre, music, or a related discipline from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized college or university, or commensurate professional experience
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience with online instructional support platforms
- Application of experiential and hands-on practices in the discipline
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity through teaching, scholarship, or service
- Prior teaching experience at the college level
Work Schedule: Variable
Salary and Benefits:
