The Department of Environmental Science and Ecology at SUNY Brockport i
s accepting applications for anticipated part-time adjunct faculty openings.Essential Functions:
Teaching (100%)
- Responsible for preparing material and instructing 6 hours of lecture per week in waterfowl ecology and management and wildlife ecology and 4 hours of lab per week in wildlife ecology
- Responsible for all grading associated with the courses
- Responsible for holding office hours for a minimum of 4 hours
- Engages in experiential and hands-on education when appropriate
- Produces effective course materials
- Achieves student learning outcomes
Minimum Qualifications:- Master’s degree in biology or a related field by time of appointment from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized college or university, or equivalent experience
- Expertise in Wildlife and Waterfowl ecology
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience in college-level teaching
- Terminal degree
Work Schedule: Variable
Salary and Benefits:
